Aaron Smith placed on IR

Today the Steelers placed DE Aaron Smith on injured reserve, thanks to a torn biceps suffered during the game against the Patriots. In the short term the Steelers' run defense could be significantly compromised. But of even greater concern is the long-term significance, as NFL linemen often fail to fully recover from this type of injury (i.e., the injury often recurs).
