We haven't had a franchise QB in my lifetime until Big Ben. Extending his contract should be Priority #1.

They should have done it this past offseason. With all of Ben's travails, they would have gotten him at a slight discount. Anyone with football sense should have known he was a good risk. Now, his price has gone up.

It's a smart move. It will cost us much much more in 09. locking him in after this season will actually save us money in the long run

THE STEELERS BRASS WOULD BE WISE TO SIGN ROETHLISBERGER TO A 10 YEAR DEAL. REASON IS BIG BEN HAS PROVEN TO BE A CONSISTENT WINNER. GOES BACK ALL THE WAY TO HIGH SCHOOL. I WOULD SAY 10 YEARS 75 MIL, WITH A 4.5 MIL SIGHNING BONUS.AND THE STEELERS ARE THE ONES WHO WOULD GET A BARGAIN.
