Kirschke signs two-year contract

The Steelers have signed backup DE Travis Kirschke to a two-year contract, thereby preventing him from becoming an unrestricted free agent at the end of this month. Kirschke started four games for the Steelers in 2007 after Aaron Smith suffered a biceps tear during the game at New England.
